free easy knit beanie – the honey brook beanie

Hey friend!

Today is so cool because I am getting into releasing my beanie patterns! I am so excited for this because I LOVE designing beanie patterns and making beanies. Once the air has the slightest chill to it, I am wearing a beanie and I need all the colors to match all my moods and outfits. My dark and broody soul goes straight to the fall and winter color palettes but I have made this beanie in bright and fun colors too!

I think it looks good in solids and multis so I am pretty confident that you will love this pattern too. It is already available in my Etsy shop, so you can grab your pdf copy over there for less than good cup of coffee. PDF’s are perfect accessing your pattern across all devices or if you want to print it (if you hoard, I mean collect crochet and knitting patterns like me).

This pattern is super quick to make, relatively easy to follow, and uses basic knitting stitches. It uses my double stranded method so if you’re familiar with that, it will be super helpful. This pattern is great for stocking up for the kids, market prep or gifting. I love mommy and me sets in this pattern too.

Okay, away we go friend!

This pattern is worked using double strands. You can either pull from the inside and outside of the skein, (this is what i do) or get two separate skeins and pull from your desired place. Pattern is written for a slight slouch, if you are wanting a more fitted beanie, take one round out of the brim, and start decreasing one round sooner. Your initial stitch count after joining is the same stitch count throughout until your decrease rounds. * _ * indicates the sequence of stitches to be worked throughout the entire round.
