free textured knit beanie pattern | The Ducktown Beanie Knitting Pattern

I know that I am a few days late. I initially wanted to have this pattern released a while ago, but I wanted to get the monster keychain pattern out in time for all the spooky time markets. I had a fabulous market Saturday and got a nice little sun tan (or burn if you’re my husband).

This pattern is so great for market prepping and gifting. The pattern is super simple but the texture is absolutely wonderful and that’s why I love it so much. I had an idea to make my duckhill beanie (crochet) pattern into a knit version for so long, but one night it just came to me and I stayed up until 3 am pumping it out so that I could see it finished and make necessary tweaks.

Luckily it came together pretty well for me and I only had to partially take it out two times to get the height where I wanted it to be.

I made this pattern in my duck hill pattern favorite, orange burst and it is too good. The solid is also a favorite but I am biased because the graphite/silver grey pompom combination is always a favorite of mine.

if you want a inexpensive pdf, head over to my Etsy shop and check out this one and all my other crochet and knit patterns. I love pdf’s because I like to print my patterns, but I also love being able to access them from wherever. The number of times I have gone out and bought new yarn and hooks or needles on vacation is laughable, but at least I have patterns on my phone to help me get through when I’ve forgotten to pack a project bag, or accidentally left it sitting on the table.

Okay, so let’s get started!
